(Noel Chamberlain of the British Labor Party, 1939)…I know that “Bibi” Netenyahu and Israel knows better than Chamberlain that you can’t appease a bunch of psychotics; malignant with their world view of death and dark hatreds, whether they are National Socialists or Radical Islamists. They are one in the same.
Further, I don’t believe that this American President has any such notion or understanding of these things.
Too bad; I think he is in for a foreign relations disaster. It will be his time to stop making speeches and go back to the oval office and actually do his job.
Iran’s hegemony in the Middle East is going to become a reality in all of Islam. They will be the first to harness the energy of the stars within the Arab world. And, in the near term, so I say, get to it President Obama. And, Mr. President; stand by; it could become dicey and dangerous. Israel and Iran will be the Nuclear powers in conflict with religious and ideological differences that could become a killing ground on the scale of Revelations and the final battle on the plain of Meggido. Perhaps, I overstate the case, but, better to err on the side of overstatement than understating the unspeakable.
Either way, I predict he will let the world wither so he can fulfill his Marxist vision here at home. It is more important to lock in his domestic changes to America as his legacy. As to world affairs and the security of our people, I believe he will take the easy way out and leave it to the next President. A political expedient, to be sure, but at the cost of our new born babies to grow up in under the threat of nuclear attack. Historically speaking, it sows the winds of war and ultimately reaps the whirlwind to all of humankind.
The president is charming but idealistically naive. It is a little creepy with this guy, too – or is just me?Anyway, by now, he appears to be the phony demagogue that I thought him to be. To be sure, he is convincing and articulate, but I find no substance in his words. Although affable, he is just a dangerous ideologue, influenced by the radical hacks of the 60′s. He is mostly motivated by a his vision of a New Society. I don’t like it – I’ve heard it before and it gets us all killed. Truths that have been handed down to us are not embodied in this man, perhaps another, but not this man - I think he’s dangerous.
By November,we need to make it known to him that his days are numbered in office. We have to bring to Congress some American common sense over the next 10 years of elections.
Our founding fathers didn’t give his executive power enough time to completely take down the country. They gave us the branches of office for parity. Executive, Congressional and Judicial power is mitigated within these tripartite institutions of our democracy through the voting power of the electorate….errrr, that’s us!
Yes, unfortunately for the President, the Senators and the Congressmen, we have the power to remove them from office. And, often!!!
You know Andy, the founders collectively may have had their personal issues and differences with each other, but they knew full well the tonic of power and the danger of a single demagogue. Charisma and words are enough to mix a toxic brew. Our founders had learned the lessons of the past. They read the record. It isn’t difficult to see or learn of the the bloody mosaic of human history since nascent man first rose up and strode across the jeweled earth.
Man’s written record of dominance and empire falls under an unfortunate savagery - written in red. Regular folks and their families get killed in the process of ridding ourselves of them and the ideologies of our darker angels. The founders directed it not to happen again - in writing – within the four corners of our founding document: THE CONSTITUTION.
As the aging, crippled and ”gouty” Benjamin Franklin said before being lifted into his carriage as he was leaving the Constitutional Convention in the hot summer of 1787; ”We gave all of you a Republic – if you can hold it!”
Our founders knew that tyranny is a light sleeper. Constitutionalists and Traditionalists must exercise their cherished power through the vote. The great menace to unbridled power is still “We, the People.”
The people are still Constitutionally guaranteed their freedom to exercise their vote within this Republic. You and I will be the final arbiters of this society - to be a Republic; or not. But, we must be disciplined and diligent. We must remember that the arrogance of power can crush us within a single generation.
I guess some of us have forgotten that “We the People” is lil’ ol’ you and me. Unless the political parties corrupt the electorate and our historical traditions dismissed through schools teaching “Socialism and Statism” to our kids; we still have these “sons a’ bitches” right where we want ‘em. But, it is a turning point, it must change, right now before it is too late. A ten year period will tip our destiny. Hell, I’ll be dead so you will have to get used to the outcome…Sorry, I can’t join you for the final round, I’ve run out of time. The American people, however, do have the power to determine their own continuing liberty in the future. We must not fail.
In conclusion to this long and windy e-mail; Our fathers died on the edges of the empire and toppled whole civilizations to guarantee our freedom; don’t let it slip away. We have nowhere to run, no frontiers left if we lose freedom here in America. It is, and has been a killing cause. It is serious if the torch is extinguished in the uplifted hand of Lady Liberty. The light of freedom in the eyes of our children must be realized in this and the next generations of Americans. As to Lady Liberty, I will not disgrace her, or my fathers; in either peace or war to lose freedom on my watch – not in my lifetime. Not me; the consequences of such a thing is too great to imagine.
So my message is this (I know, .it looks more like a speech): “Pack up the babies, and bring the old ladies” to get out the vote this November.
